The most recent MOT was on 2011-12-21 — over 14 years ago — and it failed at 522,386 miles. That’s the last recorded test, and no MOTs have been logged since. The bike has not been legally roadworthy for more than a decade. Multiple critical failures appeared in that final test: non-functional and overspeed direction indicators, a stop lamp that doesn’t activate with braking, a headlamp failing on dipped beam, insecure fairings risking steering interference, a leaking front shock absorber seal, and a missing screw from the front brake reservoir. These are serious safety defects — not minor advisories. Recurring issues point to long-standing neglect or chronic component failure. Direction indicator faults appear in 2011, 2009, and 2008. Headlamp problems (aim, illumination, damage) occurred in all three failed tests. Brake and suspension integrity — especially the front shock and brake reservoir — were compromised by 2011. Drive chain looseness and wheel alignment issues also recurred.
