The 1.6-litre diesel is prone to injector seal failure and DPF clogging on short urban journeys. Leaking injector seals cause the Black Death, a build-up of carbon tar around the injectors.

The sliding rear doors can jam, fail to lock properly, or trigger dashboard warnings. Worn rollers, faulty latches and damaged wiring in the door channels are common, especially on family-used examples.

General electrical issues include battery drain, infotainment glitches, heated windscreen segment failures and door-module faults. The car can go flat if left unused for more than a few days.
