The YB Rio went on UK sale on 30 January 2017 from £11,995, five-door only, in grades 1, 2, 3 and a launch First Edition. Engines were the 1.0 T-GDi triple, 1.25 and 1.4 petrols and a 1.4 CRDi diesel.

What changed for 2017

  • •1.0-litre three-cylinder T-GDi in 99bhp and 118bhp tunes, plus 1.25 and 1.4 MPi petrols
  • •1.4 CRDi diesel in 76bhp and 89bhp forms, with a four-speed automatic offered on the 1.4 petrol
  • •Five-door hatchback only for the UK, ending the previous generation's three-door option
  • •Grade 1 from £11,995 with air conditioning, LED daytime running lights and hill-start assist
