Common Problems with the
2024 MINI Cooper Mk5 (F66)

The all-new petrol Cooper (F66) was revealed online on 6 February 2024, entered Oxford production in March 2024 and reached UK customers from mid-2024: 156hp 1.5 Cooper C and 204hp 2.0 Cooper S with the seven-speed dual-clutch as standard - no manual offered - in Classic, Elegant and Sport trims. The interior is stripped to a large round central display and toggle switches, and the outgoing F56 ran out in parallel into 2024 as the last of the third generation.

What changed for 2024

  • •Dual-clutch transmission standard across the petrol range; manuals discontinued
  • •Round central display with MINI OS 9 and voice assistant replacing physical dials
  • •Production consolidated at Plant Oxford for the new family
