AdBlue Tank / Pump Failure
SeriousExhaust & EmissionsOn BlueHDi diesel engines across the Expert (K0) range, the AdBlue emissions SCR system is prone to premature failure. The dosing pump, heating element, and level sensors are integrated directly into the non-serviceable plastic tank assembly. Chemical crystallization of urea liquid, heating element burnout, and internal pump motor seizure cause emissions system fault codes and trigger a mandatory non-start countdown on the dash. Once this countdown reaches zero miles, the engine is immobilised until the entire tank assembly is replaced.

- Scan for stored UREA emissions or SCR dosing fault codes
- Verify whether the vehicle has had a replacement AdBlue tank or software patch
- Check that the AdBlue tank filler neck under the passenger door is clean
