Common Problems with the
2013 Skoda Superb Mk2

The facelifted 3T Superb was unveiled in Shanghai in April 2013 and sold in Europe from June 2013: sharper front-end styling with integrated LED daytime running lights, updated tail lights, a simplified Twindoor tailgate release (one button for the lid, one for the whole gate), and refreshed engines including 1.4/2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI units with the option of DSG plus four-wheel drive on the 125kW diesel. UK cars ran until 2015. The facelift also brought the latest parking assistants and the Outdoor package for the Combi in early 2014.

Buying Tips for 2013 Skoda Superb Mk2

  • June 2013-on cars are easier to live with than early 3T engines - check the oil-consumption history anyway
  • Combi Outdoor cars with air-fault histories need the load-space check you would pay a dealer for
  • Avoid the 1.4 TSI TWINPORT early cars with unknown clutch history; DSG checks are non-negotiable
