2008 Audi A5 2.7L Diesel · ADV 646X

The 2008 Audi A5 presents as roadworthy following a clean pass on 2025-12-08 at 126,981 miles, with the maintenance trend appearing stable across the recent record. The vehicle carries no recorded defects or advisories in any test, and the latest pass sits roughly seven months before the current date, indicating reasonably current certification. Annual mileage averages near 7,054 miles, typical for an eighteen-year-old car. The record shows 116,723 miles on the failed test of 2023-10-31, rising to 116,990 by the pass on 2023-11-08, then 124,328 at the 2024-11-07 test and 126,785 at the 2025-12-03 failure. The owner added only about 2,653 miles in the final year, suggesting lighter recent use. Two failed tests in 2023 and 2025 list no defects, which points to administrative or presentation issues at the testing station rather than mechanical fault. With no advisories on suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, corrosion, or exhaust emissions across the timeline, the DVSA data implies previous owners kept the car to a basic pass standard. A buyer should still arrange a physical inspection of structural integrity and underbody for hidden rust, given the age. Verify the brake calipers and tyres show no undocumented wear, and confirm the 2025-12-03 failure with zero defects was a paperwork matter rather than a concealed fault.
