2005 Iveco Daily 2.3L Diesel · CN55 AOS

The 2005 IVECO DAILY demonstrates a stable roadworthiness trend, with no defects recorded in its most recent MOT on 2026-02-16 at 178,963 miles. The vehicle has maintained consistent compliance over the past decade, as evidenced by consecutive passes in 2025, 2024, and 2017. No structural, braking, or emissions issues were flagged in any test, indicating reliable maintenance practices by previous owners. The absence of advisories or failures suggests the vehicle has been operated within acceptable parameters, though its age and mileage warrant scrutiny of wear-prone components. The mileage progression reveals a notable gap between 2017 and 2024, during which the recorded mileage remained static at 154,913 miles. This stagnation, spanning seven years, may indicate periods of inactivity or incomplete MOT compliance. Subsequent tests show gradual increases, with 8,253 miles added between 2017 and 2025, followed by 15,797 miles in the final 11 months leading to the 2026 test. While the vehicle’s average annual mileage of 8,522 miles aligns with typical usage for its age, the prolonged period of minimal movement raises concerns about potential corrosion, fluid degradation, or component stiffness. A buyer should prioritize an in-person inspection of the chassis for rust, particularly in underbody areas prone to moisture ingress. Suspension components, including coil springs and bushes, should be checked for wear given the vehicle’s age, while brake systems require verification of disc condition and caliper functionality. The lack of recorded issues does not eliminate risks associated with long-term inactivity, such as seized joints or degraded seals. Confirming the vehicle’s operational history and conducting a thorough mechanical check will ensure no hidden faults persist.
