The most recent MOT was on 2009-05-16 — over 17 years ago — and it passed, but with multiple serious advisories. It is not current; the vehicle has had no recorded MOT for more than 17 years. Corrosion is the dominant, recurring issue — especially structural. In both 2009 and 2007, multiple body and chassis points showed slight corrosion (6.1.B.2), and in 2009 the centre body/chassis had excessive corrosion seriously affecting strength near mountings — a major failure reason just three days earlier. That same area failed again in 2007 with unsatisfactory modifications also compromising strength. Corrosion is not isolated: seat belt anchorages, brake master cylinder mounts, and parking brake mountings all failed in 2007 due to excessive rust. This pattern shows deterioration is long-standing and worsening — not stabilising. Shock absorbers were flagged in every MOT from 2007 onward: all four consistently showing reduced damping or worn bushes. Braking components are similarly degraded — scored discs, corroded pipes, deteriorated hoses, and repeated borderline efficiency readings culminating in a 2009 failure for marginal service and parking brake performance. Steering free play appeared in 2009 and likely predates it.
