The most recent MOT on 2023-02-23 showed a pass with no defects , indicating the vehicle met safety standards at that time. However, this result is over three years old, and the MOT history reveals recurring minor issues that may signal ongoing maintenance needs. A 2019 MOT recorded a fail for an insecure rear registration plate (0.1 (a)), a minor defect that could indicate loose fastenings or corrosion. Earlier, in 2017, the vehicle failed due to non-working nearside rear direction indicators (1.5.1c), a fault likely linked to wiring or bulb issues. These problems suggest periodic electrical or fastening system maintenance may be required. The trend shows no clear worsening of defects, as the last MOT was a pass. However, the long gap between the 2019 and 2023 tests (four years) raises questions about the vehicle’s usage. Without reliable mileage data, it is uncertain whether the vehicle has experienced excessive wear, hard use, or prolonged under-use . A lack of mileage context means risks like aging components (e.g., rubber seals, wiring insulation) cannot be fully assessed. The 2017 MOT included a pass with no defects on the same day as the fail, suggesting the vehicle may have been driven very low miles (252 miles) at that time.
