1994 Rover MINI 1.3L Petrol · L192 AWP

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, as evidenced by the most recent MOT test on 22 July 2026 at 42,399 miles which returned with zero defects. This reflects a period of consistent mechanical maintenance following some minor issues identified in 2020. The clean result sheets over the last three years suggest that the current owner is proactively addressing mechanical requirements before they escalate into test failures. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 32-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 1,325 miles per year. There is a significant gap in records between July 2010 and May 2019, where the car covered only 14 miles over nine years. Since 2021, usage has remained minimal, with only 535 miles recorded in last five years. While low mileage typically reduces wear on the drivetrain and engine, long periods of standing can lead to degradation of rubber components, seized calipers, and internal corrosion which are not always captured by a standard MOT test. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the structural integrity of the chassis and floor pans, as the Rover Mini is prone to hidden rust regardless of mileage. Although the 2008 test flagged an offside front track rod end and the 2020 test noted an oil leak and exhaust leak, these appear to have been rectified. Given the low usage, it is vital to check the age of the tyres and the condition of brake hoses for cracking or perish, as these components often fail through time rather than distance driven.
