2013 Vauxhall Insignia 2.0L Diesel · LT13 ABK

The vehicle’s most recent MOT on 2025-01-13 at 104,333 miles recorded a pass with no defects, though a failed test on the same date is noted without explanation. Subsequent tests from 2022 to 2024 show consistent passing with no recorded issues, indicating a stable maintenance trend. The absence of critical failures in recent years suggests the owner addressed minor concerns promptly, though the conflicting pass/fail status on 2025-01-13 raises questions about administrative accuracy. Mileage progression shows steady growth, from 71,346 miles in 2022 to 104,333 in 2025, aligning with the vehicle’s 13-year age. No significant gaps or rapid accumulation are evident, implying regular use and consistent servicing. The lack of recurring defects in the MOT history suggests the car has not faced systemic mechanical issues, though the 2025 failed test—despite no recorded faults—warrants scrutiny to confirm whether it reflects a genuine problem or a data error. A buyer should verify the condition of suspension components, particularly bushes and coil springs, which often degrade over 13 years. Brake systems, including discs and calipers, should be inspected for wear, as these are common failure points. The exhaust system and corrosion risks, especially in high-mileage vehicles, also merit attention. While the MOT record shows no major issues, the 2025 failed test’s ambiguity underscores the need for a pre-purchase inspection to confirm the vehicle’s mechanical integrity.
