2003 Honda Jazz 1.3L Petrol · NL03 AAJ

The most recent MOT test on 16 September 2021 at 149,120 miles returned a failure with no defects recorded, leaving the vehicle's current roadworthiness unverified for nearly five years. Prior to that, the record shows a stable pass trend from 2018 through 2020, with a same-day fail and pass on 9 September 2019 at 145,901 miles also listing no defects. The absence of advisories or recorded faults across all entries suggests no worsening mechanical trend, though the unexplained 2021 failure and long lapse since testing mean the car cannot be confirmed roadworthy today. Annual mileage averaged 6,483 across the 23-year life, a typical figure for a 2003 Honda Jazz. The records show only 5,638 miles added between September 2018 (143,512) and September 2021 (149,120), confirming light use. A notable gap exists from September 2021 to now, with no further tests logged; the car has likely stood unused or been off-road for close to five years, which risks perished rubber components and flat-spotted tyres rather than high-mileage drivetrain wear. The 2021 failure carries no stated defect, so a buyer must establish the reason at point of sale, as DVSA systems sometimes omit minor clerical faults. Given the age and standing period, inspect all suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs for corrosion or seizure, and check exhaust emissions and structural integrity underneath for rust. The clean history implies previous owners kept basic upkeep current, but the five-year test void overrides that reassurance for any immediate purchase decision.
