1997 Dodge Unknown 5.9L Diesel · R380 CNG

The vehicle’s most recent MOT, conducted on 2024-05-24 at 144,913 miles, resulted in a pass with no defects recorded. This indicates the car met roadworthiness standards at that time, but the absence of subsequent tests—over 22 months prior to the current date—limits insight into ongoing maintenance trends. No recurring issues or advisories are documented, suggesting a stable condition in the recorded history. However, the lack of recent data means the current state cannot be definitively assessed without further inspection. The vehicle’s mileage of 144,913 miles over 29 years equates to an average of 4,997 miles annually, significantly below typical usage for its age. This low mileage may reflect infrequent use or prolonged periods of inactivity, which can accelerate wear on components like rubber seals, suspension bushes, and battery health. The single MOT entry provides no evidence of rapid mileage spikes or extended gaps between tests, but the sparse record offers limited context for evaluating long-term maintenance practices. A buyer should prioritise inspecting the vehicle’s structural integrity, particularly for corrosion in the chassis and bodywork, which can worsen during periods of inactivity. Suspension components, including coil springs and bushings, may require scrutiny for wear given the car’s age. Brake systems, including calipers and discs, should be checked for binding or uneven wear, as these can develop without regular use. Additionally, the engine and transmission should be assessed for fluid leaks or unusual noises, as low mileage does not preclude mechanical degradation.
