2008 Ford C-MAX 1.8L Diesel · VX08 AKN

The 2008 Ford C-Max presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 23 February 2026 at 109,145 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the preceding annual tests show the same clean outcome. The vehicle carries no outstanding advisories or failures across the available five-year record, indicating consistent compliance with statutory roadworthiness standards. Recorded mileage sits at 109,145 against an eighteen-year lifespan, equating to roughly 6,064 miles per year, which is typical for the age. The DVSA data shows gentle accumulation: 102,718 miles in February 2023, 104,860 in February 2024, 106,601 in February 2025, and 109,145 in February 2026. A single anomaly appears on 26 February 2025 where the tester issued both a fail and a pass at identical mileage with no defects listed, likely an administrative reversal rather than a mechanical fault. The sparse, clean history offers little evidence of neglect or heavy use. Given the absence of flagged defects, a buyer should still commission an independent inspection of age-related wear points not always captured by MOT testing. Suspension bushes, coil springs, and subframe corrosion warrant close examination on a vehicle of this vintage. Brake disc thickness and caliper operation should be verified, as binding or uneven wear develops silently between tests. The clean record implies previous owners maintained basic statutory compliance, though low annual mileage may have masked intermittent faults through limited operation. Prospective purchasers should confirm service history and assess tyre sidewall condition, given rubber perishes with time irrespective of tread depth.
