2016 KIA Sportage 1.7L Diesel · WJ66 AEG

The 2016 Kia Sportage demonstrates exceptional roadworthiness, maintaining a completely fault-free MOT history across every recorded test. The most recent inspection on July 6 2026 at 45,989 miles resulted in a clean pass with zero defects or advisories noted. This unbroken succession of flawless tests indicates a stable and exemplary maintenance trend, pointing to an owner or previous keepers who addressed mechanical upkeep proactively before submitting the vehicle for statutory testing. Accumulating 45,989 miles over roughly a decade equates to an average of approximately 4,600 miles annually, representing notably low-usage driving patterns. The chronological data shows consistent yearly presentation for testing, starting with 27,262 miles in September 2019 and progressing steadily through the pandemic era with 31,429 miles in August 2020 and 32,403 miles in August 2021. Mileage accumulation remained modest post-lockdowns, rising through 34,119 miles in August 2022 and 36,433 miles in July 2023, before reaching 38,326 miles in July 2024 and 42,605 miles in July 2025. This steady, low-intensity accumulation avoids the risks associated with prolonged vehicle storage, suggesting the engine and drivetrain experienced regular operating cycles without extreme wear or extended inactivity. A prospective buyer inspecting this vehicle in person should nonetheless verify components that naturally age over time regardless of mileage, such as rubber suspension bushes, brake disc surface corrosion from infrequent heavy braking, and auxiliary drive belts. Because the official record contains zero advisories or structural flags, the chassis integrity and mechanical systems present very low risk. A standard pre-purchase check should focus on verifying fluid conditions and confirming that the low annual mileage correlates with healthy battery and exhaust health rather than neglected servicing outside the annual MOT window.
