2001 Kawasaki ZX-6R 0.6L Petrol · WU51 AUW

This vehicle presents a stable and exceptionally clean roadworthiness profile. The most recent MOT on 21 March 2026 at 79,693 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded. This follows a consistent pattern of clean passes dating back to May 2022, indicating a vehicle that is maintained to a standard that consistently meets DVSA requirements without the need for corrective work between tests. The mileage remains low for a twenty-five-year-old machine, averaging roughly 3,188 miles per year. The accumulation of distance is steady and modest, increasing by 3,887 miles between May 2022 and May 2024, and by a further 745 miles leading up to the March 2026 test. Such low usage suggests the bike has spent significant time stationary or has been used sparingly, which often preserves the engine but can lead to secondary issues. Because the MOT history is devoid of advisories, it provides no clues regarding wear on consumables or structural degradation. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on components that do not always trigger an MOT failure but deteriorate with age and inactivity. Check for perished rubber hoses, cracked tyre sidewalls, and the condition of the brake fluid. Inspect the chain and sprockets for surface corrosion and ensure the suspension forks are not leaking. Given the age of the Kawasaki, a thorough check for structural corrosion on the frame and swingarm is essential, as the MOT record does not highlight any historical issues with structural integrity.
