2013 Toyota Yaris 1.3L Petrol · YD13 ABF

This Toyota Yaris presents as mechanically sound with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent MOT on 3 March 2026 at 63,826 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded. This clean bill of health follows a consistent pattern of passes over the last several years, indicating a vehicle that has been kept in a roadworthy condition without recurring mechanical failures. The mileage is notably low for a 2013 model, averaging roughly 4,910 miles per year. The distance covered between tests has remained relatively steady, increasing from 42,300 miles in March 2023 to 63,826 miles by March 2026. The gap between the March 2024 test at 47,767 miles and the March 2025 test at 54,059 miles shows a typical annual usage pattern. There are no erratic jumps in mileage to suggest clocking or prolonged periods of stagnation. The MOT record is exceptionally clean, with no advisories for brake wear, suspension bushes, or exhaust emissions across the last four years. The failure recorded on 11 March 2025 was resolved the following day, and the lack of specific defect data suggests a minor administrative or quick-fix issue rather than a systemic mechanical failure. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on components that degrade regardless of mileage. Low-use vehicles often suffer from perished rubber seals, tyre cracking due to age, or brake caliper seizing. Check the date codes on the tyres and inspect the underside for surface corrosion, as the MOT record does not highlight any structural integrity issues but cannot replace a visual check for rust in the chassis rails or sills.
