2008 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4L Petrol · AD58 YVY

The 2008 Vauxhall Corsa presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 3 February 2026 at 115,254 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken run of clean results across the prior four years. Annual mileage sits at a typical level for an eighteen-year-old vehicle, averaging roughly 6,400 miles per year. The records show steady accumulation: 100,696 miles in February 2023, 106,809 in February 2024, 112,421 in February 2025, and 115,254 in February 2026. A failed test on 3 February 2023 at 100,675 miles preceded the passing retest three days later at 100,696 miles, yet the failure listed no defects, indicating an administrative or non-mechanical rejection rather than a fault-driven halt. The DVSA data is sparse on advisories, showing no corrosion, suspension bushes, brake discs, or exhaust emissions concerns across the visible history. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of structural integrity and underbody corrosion, as an MOT pass with no advisories does not confirm absence of age-related rust on a 2008 shell. The suspension and braking components deserve hands-on checks for worn coil springs or binding calipers that a clean test bay may not have flagged. Given the low annual use, verify the tyres and flexible hoses have not degraded through standing rather than wear.
