2013 BMW X5 3.5L Diesel · AG62 GSO

The 2013 BMW X5 presents a stable roadworthiness status. The most recent test on 13 March 2026 at 139,834 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the preceding annual tests show a clean pattern with no advisories or mechanical faults raised. The maintenance trend is steady rather than worsening, with no recurring structural or consumable issues flagged across the available history. Recorded mileage sits at 139,834 against a 13-year lifespan, equating to roughly 10,756 miles per year, which is typical for this vehicle class. The DVSA data shows 127,082 miles at the 15 May 2023 test, rising to 134,033 by 19 April 2024, then 137,609 on 1 April 2025, and 139,834 in March 2026. Accumulation is gradual and consistent. One anomaly appears in late March 2025, where a failure was logged at 137,608 miles with no defects stated, immediately followed by a pass four days later at 137,609 miles; this suggests an administrative rejection rather than a mechanical fault, though the buyer should confirm the reason with DVSA. The absence of advisories on suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, or corrosion across five tests implies previous owners kept the X5 to a reasonable standard. At 139,834 miles the xDrive drivetrain, rear air suspension, and front control arm bushes remain unflagged but warrant physical inspection for age-related fatigue not captured by MOT criteria. A pre-purchase check should still verify underbody structural integrity and exhaust emissions, as the record offers no evidence of neglect but cannot confirm component condition between tests. Given the clean trail, this X5 reads as a low-risk used purchase from a documentation standpoint.
