2006 Citroen C1 1.0L Petrol · CV55 LHH

The Citroen C1 presents as roadworthy on the most recent test, having passed on 7 August 2023 at 125,623 miles with no defects recorded. The maintenance trend is stable across the available history, with no advisories or mechanical faults flagged at any stage. The only irregularity lies in two failed tests that were immediately re-presented and passed within days, both showing no recorded defects. Annual mileage averages around 6,281 against the vehicle's 2006 build date, a typical figure for a twenty-year-old car. The record moves from 113,753 miles on 1 September 2021 to 118,078 miles at the 19 August 2022 failure, then 118,180 miles four days later, and finally 125,623 miles by August 2023. The two-mile gap between the August 2022 fail and pass, and the zero-mile gap in August 2023, show the car was tested, pulled, and retested without road use. The sparse, clean record gives little insight into wear cycles beyond confirming no tester-flagged issues. The repeated fail-pass pairs with no defects logged suggest administrative or presentation errors rather than owner neglect of consumables. A buyer should still verify in person that suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, and exhaust emissions meet road standard, as the MOT gives no advisory trail to confirm ongoing condition. Structural integrity and underbody corrosion should be checked given the car's age and the lack of historical corrosion notes. Given the clean test outcomes and ordinary mileage, this C1 shows no evidence of worsening mechanical risk. The prudent step is a pre-purchase inspection of tyres, wiper blades, and binding calipers, since these consumables fall outside MOT fail thresholds until worn severe.
