2008 Audi A3 2.0L Diesel · CX57 UHM

The 2008 Audi A3 presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 1 September 2025 at 106,082 miles passed with no defects recorded, and the three prior successful tests show no advisories or faults. The vehicle has cleared every examination since the single failure in September 2023, indicating the upkeep pattern is consistent rather than deteriorating. Recorded mileage sits at 106,082 against an 18-year lifespan, an average of roughly 5,893 miles per year. The history shows light annual use: 97,075 miles in September 2023, 101,803 by September 2024, and 106,082 by September 2025, a gain of under 5,000 miles in each interval. A gap exists between the October 2021 test at 88,946 miles and September 2023 at 97,075, implying roughly 8,100 miles over nearly two years. The sparse record and clean results give little evidence of neglect, though long standing periods cannot be ruled out from the data alone. The only blemish is the failure on 4 September 2023 at 97,066 miles, reversed five days later at 97,075 miles with no defects listed on either entry. This suggests a procedural or documentation issue rather than a mechanical fault, as the retest passed without recorded repairs. No recurring suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, corrosion, or exhaust emissions problems appear across the timeline. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of structural integrity and underbody corrosion given the vehicle's age, and verify the brake calipers and tyres are free of age-related degradation. The low mileage and clean MOT trail imply careful previous ownership, but standing time can hide perished rubber and seized components not captured in the test record.
