2005 Audi A3 2.0L Petrol · DS05 OVX

The vehicle currently maintains a roadworthy status, passing its most recent MOT test on 10 March 2026 at 129,227 miles. The maintenance trend appears stable, as the car has consistently achieved clean pass results over the last two years. While the record shows initial failures on the same days as the passes, the subsequent clearances indicate that any identified defects were addressed immediately to meet minimum legal road safety standards. The mileage pattern is consistent with light use for a 21-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 6,154 miles per year. Between March 2024 and March 2025, the Audi covered 4,408 miles, followed by another 3,424 miles between March 2025 and March 2026. This low annual mileage suggests the car is not driven frequently, which often reduces wear on drivetrain components and brake assemblies but can increase the risk of age-related rubber degradation and corrosion from long periods of standing. Despite the clean pass history, a buyer must investigate the specific nature of the failures in March 2024 and March 2026, as the provided data does not list the exact mechanical faults. Given the vehicle's age, a physical inspection should focus on structural integrity, specifically the sills and floor pans where rust is prone to develop on this generation of Audi. The buyer should also check for perished suspension bushes and seized brake calipers, as low mileage does not prevent components from hardening or corroding over two decades.
