2012 Volkswagen Caddy C20 TDI 75 1.6L Diesel · DY12 OLX

The 2026-06-17 test at 205,036 miles passed with no recorded defects, indicating the vehicle is currently roadworthy. However, the MOT history reveals a significant deterioration in maintenance quality over the past three years, with the most recent test in December 2024 failing at 193,528 miles. This indicates that while the vehicle is not currently failing, the history suggests a lack of consistent upkeep, with the last clean MOT occurring in October 2019. The mileage pattern is characterized by rapid accumulation and a notable gap between the most recent test and the previous one. Between the 2024-12-03 and 2023-08-11 tests, the vehicle accumulated 19,018 miles, which is a significant increase compared to the 193,528 miles recorded in the earlier 2022-04-11 test. This gap suggests that the owner may have been absent during the 2023-2024 period or had inconsistent driving habits, leading to a loss of mileage and a lack of preventive maintenance. Given the history of a 2012 Volkswagen Caddy, the vehicle is likely to require inspection for structural integrity and brake components. The most recent test failure at 193,528 miles, along with the gap in the MOT record, points to potential issues such as binding calipers, worn suspension bushes, or brake disc corrosion. A buyer should inspect the rear brakes and suspension immediately to determine if these problems are present or merely minor consumable wear, as the vehicle is still roadworthy but carries a history of failing tests.
