The vehicle maintains a stable roadworthiness status as evidenced by three consecutive MOT passes. The most recent test on 21 March 2026 at 2,094 miles resulted with no recorded defects or advisories, mirroring the results of previous inspections. This consistency suggests the vehicle has been maintained to a high standard and that mechanical components are currently operating within acceptable tolerance parameters. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 38-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 55 miles per year. Between October 2022 at 1,540 miles and March 2026 at 2,094 miles, the vehicle covered only 554 miles over three and a half years. Such sparse data indicates the bike is likely a collector that sits for long periods. While the low mileage indicates minimal wear on the drivetrain and engine, the long intervals of stationary time often lead to specific degradation of rubber and fluid components not captured by a mechanical test. Despite the clean MOT history, a physical inspection must focus on risks associated with long-term storage. A buyer should specifically check for dry rot in the tyres, perished brake lines, and seized brake calipers which often suffer from age regardless of mileage. The structural integrity of the frame should be examined for surface corrosion, as stagnant moisture can cause rust in areas where airflow is not restricted. Furthermore, the fluid levels should be inspected for degradation or moisture contamination to ensure the engine remains reliable for immediate use.
