2009 Ford Mondeo 1.8L Diesel · EA09 BOH

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, maintaining a clean record across its most recent inspections. The latest MOT test conducted in January 2025 at 120,004 miles resulted in no recorded defects, indicating that the car currently meets all safety and environmental standards. While a failure occurred briefly in late January 2024, the issue was rectified within five days to achieve a subsequent pass, suggesting the owner is responsive to mechanical maintenance requirements when faults are identified. The mileage pattern is consistent with a low-use vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 7,000 miles per annum. Between February 2022 at 101,093 miles and January 2025 at 120,004 miles, the car covered roughly 19,000 miles, representing a moderate usage rate that typically reduces the strain on the drivetrain and suspension components. The jump from 113,331 miles in January 2024 to 120,004 miles in January 2025 shows a steady accumulation of about 6,700 miles over that year, confirming the vehicle is used regularly rather than sitting for extended periods. Because the MOT history shows no recurring mechanical failures, a physical inspection should focus on age-related degradation that often does not trigger a test failure. A buyer should specifically examine the rubber components in the suspension for cracking or perishing, as these parts degrade over seventeen years regardless of mileage. Given the vehicle's age, it is also necessary to check for structural corrosion on the sills and wheel arches to ensure the integrity of the chassis remains sound. Checking the brake discs for pitting and verifying the condition of the tyres will confirm if the clean MOT record reflects well-maintained consumables.
