2021 Volkswagen Polo Life 1.0L Petrol · EV14 BAK

A consistent record of clean roadworthiness defines this vehicle, with the two most recent inspections showing no recorded defects. The latest test on 27 February 2026 resulted in a pass with zero advisories, mirroring the clean result from the previous test in December 2024. This lack of recorded failures or advisories across the documented testing period indicates that the components subject to MOT scrutiny, such as braking systems, lighting, steering, and emissions, have met the required regulatory standards without noted deterioration. The vehicle has covered 46,290 miles over approximately five years, representing an average annual usage of roughly 9,258 miles. This mileage accumulation is consistent with typical UK driving patterns for a vehicle of this age. Mechanically, this level of usage suggests a moderate rate of wear on consumable components such as brake pads, discs, and tyres, as well as standard fatigue on suspension bushes and dampers. There are no indications of extreme high-mileage wear or the potential issues associated with long-term stationary periods. Given the absence of specific defects or advisories in the DVSA history, there are no documented mechanical concerns regarding structural integrity, corrosion, or fluid leaks to address. On a test drive, focus should remain on verifying the smoothness of the drivetrain and the absence of any unrecorded noises. Listen for any knocks or knocks from the suspension when traversing uneven surfaces, which could indicate wear in the coil springs or bushes not yet flagged, and check for any steering pull or vibration through the steering wheel that might suggest wheel alignment or tyre issues. The braking system should be evaluated for any pedal judder or binding, which would indicate uneven disc wear or caliper issues. Additionally, ensure the vehicle maintains consistent acceleration and gear changes without hesitation, as the MOT record does not provide specific data on the internal mechanical health of the engine or gearbox beyond emissions compliance. Since no specific components like brake pipes or exhaust sections were flagged for corrosion, the vehicle currently presents a clean regulatory profile.
