2015 Vauxhall Adam 1.4L Petrol · FN65 AOM

The vehicle is currently roadworthy following a clean pass on August 1, 2025 at 96,001 miles. The maintenance trend shows signs of intermittent improvement through reactive repairs rather than preventative care. While the car passed its most recent inspection without defects, the preceding history indicates a failure to address steering components and tyre safety issues, suggesting that the owner only addressed mechanical faults once they reached a failure threshold. At 11 years old with 96,001 miles recorded, this Vauxhall Adam averages approximately 8,700 miles per year, which aligns closely with national averages for a passenger car of this age. The data shows consistent usage patterns, with 15,935 miles covered between April 2023 and April 2024, and another 12,157 miles between April 2024 and August 2025. This steady accumulation suggests the vehicle has not suffered from long stationary periods, which generally helps prevent the degradation of rubber components and fluid seals. A buyer should focus physical inspection on the front suspension due to recurring issues with the track rod ends. The 2024 test flagged a damaged nearside front dust cover, and by August 2025 both the nearside and offside track rod end dust covers were excessively deteriorated. This progression indicates a pattern of wear in the steering linkage, and the buyer should check for play in the steering wheel or uneven tyre wear to ensure the ball joints have not suffered premature failure. The 2024 failure for exposed cords on the nearside front tyre highlights a lapse in basic safety monitoring, so all remaining tyres should be thoroughly inspected for depth and structural integrity. While there is no evidence of structural corrosion or brake issues in the record, the repeated steering-related failures necessitate a thorough check of the suspension bushes and control arms to ensure no further mechanical weaknesses remain beyond the recent repairs.
