2016 Audi A8 3.0L Diesel · GH16 AVK

A consistent record of roadworthiness defines this vehicle, with seven consecutive MOT passes and a complete absence of defects or advisories since 2019. This stable trend is confirmed by the latest test on 11 July 2025, which resulted in a clean pass. The lack of any recorded failures or recurring advisories indicates that the vehicle has met all DVSA safety and emissions standards without requiring remedial work during the testing process. The recorded mileage of 58,840 miles is low for a vehicle of this age, averaging roughly 5,884 miles per year. This usage pattern typically results in less physical wear on the drivetrain, suspension linkages, and brake discs than is found in higher-mileage counterparts. While the mileage is low, the consistency of the annual testing suggests the vehicle has not been subject to prolonged periods of total inactivity. Because the MOT history is devoid of specific flags, there are no recorded issues with corrosion, brake pipe degradation, or suspension bush wear to prioritize. However, given the complexity of this model, a test drive should focus on the operational smoothness of the air suspension. Listen for any unusual knocks or thumps when traversing uneven surfaces and observe the vehicle for any leaning or abnormal ride height changes that would indicate a leak in the pneumatic system. Further attention should be paid to the braking performance and steering precision. Ensure there is no pedal judder during deceleration and that the vehicle maintains a straight line under braking, as these symptoms would indicate warped discs or binding calipers that may not have been severe enough to trigger an MOT failure. Verify that all electronic driver aids and steering responses are fluid and free from hesitation.
