An exceptionally low usage profile defines this vehicle, characterized by a long-term track record of passing inspections without recent defects. The most recent test on 04 April 2026 resulted in a pass with no recorded defects, continuing a trend of clean results that has persisted since at least 2017. While the historical record shows specific brake-related advisories and user-entered notes regarding component wear in 2015 and 2016, the subsequent decade of testing shows no recurrence of these issues or any new mechanical failures. The recorded mileage of 1,774 miles over a 34-year lifespan represents an average annual accumulation of approximately 52 miles. This extremely low mileage suggests the vehicle has spent the vast majority of its existence stationary or in storage rather than in regular transit. Mechanically, while this indicates minimal wear on the drivetrain, engine internals, and consumables like brake pads or tyres, such prolonged periods of inactivity can lead to the degradation of rubber seals, gaskets, and fluid properties that are not always captured by a standard MOT inspection. Prospective buyers should pay close attention to the braking system, specifically referencing the historical advisories regarding front brake disc rivets and rear caliper pin locations. Although no defects have been flagged in recent years, the mechanical integrity of the brake carriers and caliper mounting points should be physically inspected for any signs of movement or play. During a test ride, listen for any rhythmic clicking or unevenness when applying front braking force, which could indicate issues with the disc rivets, and check for any binding or uneven braking feel that might suggest the rear caliper pins are not sliding freely. Beyond the braking system, the extremely low mileage necessitates a thorough check of all fluid levels and the condition of static components. Given the long intervals between use, it is advisable to inspect for any signs of weeping from the forks, engine seals, or fuel system connections. On the road, pay attention to the smoothness of the throttle response and the absence of any fluid leaks under pressure, as components that sit idle for extended periods are prone to seal shrinkage or hardening.
