2020 Volvo XC60 Momentum B5 Mhev Auto 2.0L Petrol · KJ69 RFZ

This Volvo XC60 presents a clean bill of health across its entire MOT history. The most recent test on 23 January 2026 at 18,323 miles passed with zero defects, advisories, or failures. That is a strong result for a six-year-old vehicle. The maintenance trend is stable and consistently positive, with no recurring faults or emerging mechanical concerns across all four recorded tests. The mileage profile is notably low. At 18,323 miles over roughly six years, the annual average sits around 3,054 miles. The progression between tests reveals a gradual increase in usage: 3,029 miles by February 2023, 10,391 by January 2024, 15,301 by February 2025, and 18,323 by January 2026. The jump between early 2023 and early 2024 accounts for roughly 7,300 miles in twelve months, which is the heaviest annual accumulation on record. Subsequent years settled closer to 3,000 to 5,000 miles annually. There are no suspicious gaps or sudden spikes that would suggest odometer tampering, though the low overall mileage means the vehicle may have spent extended periods stationary. With no defects flagged in any test, there are no recurring mechanical or structural issues to flag from the MOT record itself. A buyer should still carry out a thorough in-person inspection focused on areas that low-mileage vehicles are prone to. Suspension bushes, coil springs, and shock absorbers can perish from age and inactivity rather than use, so check for cracking, perishing, or uneven settling. Brake discs and pads may show surface corrosion from prolonged standing, particularly on the rear calipers, which can lead to binding or uneven pad wear even when mileage is low. Tyre sidewall condition and date codes deserve attention, as rubber degrades with age regardless of tread depth. Inspect the underside for any signs of corrosion on subframes, brake lines, and exhaust components, especially if the vehicle has been garaged in coastal or road-salt areas. The mild-hybrid B5 powertrain has a clean emissions record on paper, but a cold-start test and a check for any stored fault codes via diagnostic scan would confirm the hybrid system and engine are performing as expected.
