2015 Yamaha XVS 0.9L Petrol · M13 YCC

The vehicle is in a stable roadworthy condition with a clean MOT history. The most recent test on 30 July 2025 at 20,237 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This follows a consistent pattern of clean passes dating back to April 2021, indicating a well-maintained machine with no recurring mechanical failures. The mileage pattern is atypical for an eleven year old motorcycle. Between April 2021 and July 2022, the odometer moved only 1,562 miles. However, there was a significant increase in usage between July 2024 and July 2025, where the mileage jumped from 10,946 to 20,237 miles. This indicates the bike spent several years in light use or storage before entering a period of much heavier activity over the last eighteen months. A buyer should focus on components affected by the previous periods of inactivity. While the MOT records show no failures, long periods of standing can lead to perished tyres, degraded brake fluid, and internal corrosion in the fuel system. Check the date codes on the tyres to ensure they are not aged beyond their safe limit despite having remaining tread. Inspect the brake discs for surface pitting and ensure the calipers move freely. Given the recent spike in mileage, verify that the oil change intervals were adhered to during the 9,291 mile increase seen in the last year. Check the chain and sprockets for wear, as the recent increase in usage will have accelerated the wear on the final drive.
