2015 Vauxhall Astra 1.4L Petrol · MM65 JZD

The 2025‑04‑22 MOT at 54,627 miles passed with no defects recorded, confirming the Vauxhall Astra remains roadworthy and the maintenance record shows a stable, consistent condition. At 11 years old, the vehicle averages 4,966 miles per year, a figure lower than typical for its age, yet mileage accelerated from 38,089 miles in April 2022 to 44,051 miles in March 2023 (≈5,962 miles) and then to 53,014 miles in April 2024 (≈8,963 miles) before settling at 54,627 miles in April 2025, indicating periods of higher usage followed by reduced activity. A buyer should therefore examine the suspension bushes and coil springs for wear or binding, inspect brake discs and calipers for scoring or binding, and assess the chassis and underbody for structural rust, as low mileage can conceal corrosion that develops during extended idle periods. In addition, check tyre tread depth, wiper blade condition, fluid levels, and verify that the exhaust system meets emission standards, while confirming steering linkage and suspension mounting points function correctly to validate the vehicle’s true mechanical state.
