The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness, evidenced by a clean pass in the most recent test conducted on June 2026 at 12,526 miles. This result continues a stable trend of passes with no recorded defects over the last five years. The absence of any advisories or failures suggests the motorcycle has remained in a good condition or has undergone consistent preventative maintenance between the testing intervals. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for an eighteen-year-old machine, averaging approximately 700 miles per year. Between the May 2022 test at 11,739 miles and the June 2026 test at 12,526 miles, the bike covered only 787 miles over four years. The interval between 2024 and 2025 is particularly stagnant, with only 6 miles recorded in twelve months. While this minimizes wear on the drivetrain and engine components, such low usage often points to risks associated with fluid degradation rather than mechanical friction. Despite the clean MOT history, a buyer must inspect the bike for signs of age and long-term storage. A physical inspection should prioritize checking for dry rubber components, such as brake lines, and perished tyres that may crack from age rather than wear. The buyer should also look for surface corrosion on the brake discs and exhaust system, as periods of standing can sometimes accelerate oxidation in damp environments. Given the low mileage, verifying the condition of the brake fluid and engine oil is essential to ensure they have not collected moisture or degraded during long periods of inactivity.
