2006 Nissan Micra 1.4L Petrol · NV06 FXG

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a consistently clean pass record over the last five years. The most recent test on 1 July 2025 at 29,680 miles resulted in no defects or advisories, maintaining a trend of perfect scores across consecutive inspections. This suggests the vehicle has been maintained to a standard that avoids the common mechanical and structural failures typical of this era. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a twenty-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 1,484 miles per year. Between June 2021 and July 2025, the car covered only 1,567 miles, indicating very infrequent use or long periods of storage. While 29,680 miles of total travel generally reduces wear on the drivetrain, engine, and brake components, long intervals between use can introduce specific risks such as the degradation of rubber-based components or internal corrosion due to a lack of operating heat. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on components affected by age rather than high-mileage wear. Despite the clean history, the tester must check for seized calipers or perished brake lines which often occur when a vehicle sits for long periods. The structural integrity of the chassis and subframes requires close scrutiny, as Micras of this generation are prone to corrosion regardless of how few miles are driven. Additionally, inspect the suspension bushes and tyre sidewalls for cracking dry rot, as these materials degrade over time rather than through friction.
