1997 Mitsubishi 4X4 2.8L Diesel · P627 SVW

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status based on the most recent inspection. The MOT test conducted on 23 September 2024 at 84,562 miles resulted in a pass with no recorded defects or advisories. This indicates that the vehicle met all essential safety and environmental standards required by the DVSA without immediate mechanical failure at the time of the test. With a recorded mileage of 84,562 miles over 22 years, the vehicle has covered an average of approximately 3,844 miles per year. This low usage rate typically suggests reduced wear on high-stress components like the engine, gearbox, and drivetrain, though low-mileage vehicles of this age often suffer from degradation of rubber-based components due to age and long periods of stationary time rather than mechanical fatigue. While the 2024 record is clean, a buyer should still perform a physical inspection to verify the structural integrity and chassis condition. Given the age of the 2004 Mitsubishi, priority should be checking for corrosion on sills and mounting points, which may not be fully apparent between MOT tests. The buyer should also inspect the suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake hoses, as these can perish regardless of the low mileage recorded.
