The vehicle maintains a high standard of roadworthiness with a stable maintenance trend across the last five years. The most recent test on 12 August 2025 at 23,408 miles resulted in no defects, mirroring the clean records of the four previous inspections. This consistency suggests that the motorcycle has been kept in a good mechanical state and has not suffered from recurring mechanical failures or structural degradation. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 22-year-old machine, averaging approximately 1,064 miles per year. Between July 2021 and July 2022, the bike covered only 261 miles, indicating long periods of storage or minimal use. However, there was a more significant increase in activity between 2023 and 2025, where mileage climbed from 19,026 to 23,408. This low annual usage reduces wear on the drivetrain and engine components, though it increases the risk of age-related material fatigue rather than mileage-based mechanical wear. While the MOT history is flawless, a buyer must inspect the bike for issues associated with low-mileage storage. Dry-out rubber seals, fuel lines, and fork seals often perish or crack when a vehicle sits for extended periods. The buyer should check brake fluid for moisture contamination and inspect tyres for flat spotting or sidew cracking, as the MOT does not assess rubber elasticity. Given the age of the bike, a thorough inspection of the frame for hidden corrosion is essential, despite the lack of structural advisories in the record.
