2004 Honda Jazz 1.3L Petrol · SJ54 VRP

The vehicle presents a stable maintenance profile based on the available data, though the most recent MOT record is significantly outdated. The last recorded pass occurred on 3 February 2023 at 157,611 miles, meaning the car has not undergone a formal roadworthiness inspection in over three years. While the 2023 test was clean, the lack of recent certification makes it impossible to verify the current state of the brakes, tyres, or emissions. The mileage pattern is consistent with the age of the vehicle. Between February 2022 and February 2023, the car covered 11,576 miles, increasing from 146,035 to 157,611. This suggests a period of regular use followed by a complete cessation of recorded mileage and testing since early 2023. A vehicle standing idle for several years often develops secondary issues such as perished rubber seals, seized brake calipers, and battery degradation. A buyer must prioritise a physical inspection of the chassis and suspension. Given the age of this Honda Jazz and the likelihood of prolonged standing, structural corrosion on the sills and subframes is a primary concern. The absence of advisories in the 2022 and 2023 tests is positive, but these records do not account for the deterioration that occurs during long-term storage. Inspect the tyres for flat spots or sidewall cracking and check for fluid leaks from the engine and gearbox. The braking system requires a thorough check for binding or oxidation on the discs. Because the car has missed multiple annual inspections, a full mechanical service is necessary to ensure the drivetrain and safety systems remain functional.
