2016 BMW 116 1.5L Diesel · VX16 BFM

The vehicle is roadworthy at present; the latest MOT on 2 June 2025 at 92,403 miles recorded a pass with no defects, showing an improving trend following the brake‑pad wear flagged in the 24 May 2023 test. Mileage has risen from 30,492 miles in May 2022 to 92,403 miles in June 2025, averaging roughly 9,200 miles per year. The jump of 12,780 miles between May 2022 and May 2023, then 25,505 miles to June 2024, and a further 23,626 miles to June 2025, suggests consistent use rather than long periods of inactivity. No significant gaps appear in the record, and the mileage progression aligns with typical usage for a ten‑year‑old BMW 116. A prospective buyer should verify that the brake pads and discs have been replaced since the 2023 advisory; inspect for uniform pad wear, rotor condition and any signs of binding calipers. Given the mileage, checking suspension bushes, coil springs and anti‑roll bar links for play or corrosion is prudent. Examine tyre tread depth and sidewall integrity, and scan the body for rust, especially around wheel arches and undercarriage, to confirm structural integrity has been maintained.
