2005 Suzuki GSX R750 K5 0.7L Petrol · WX55 HBA

The vehicle presents an inconsistent roadworthiness profile based on the available MOT history. In the most recent test conducted on 18 March 2025 at 6,469 miles, the motorcycle failed the initial inspection but subsequently passed upon retest the same day. This indicates a specific mechanical or safety defect was identified and rectified immediately. However, the presence of a failure at this stage suggests a lapse in preventative maintenance compared to the successful pass recorded earlier on 13 December 2023. The mileage data is notably low for a 2005 model, totaling only 6,469 miles over 21 years. This averages to approximately 308 miles per annum. While low mileage suggests minimal mechanical wear on the engine and drivetrain, it often leaves rubber-based components, such as seals, hoses, and brake lines, to suffer from age-related degradation. The gap between the December 2023 test and the March 2025 test indicates the vehicle may have sat stationary, which can lead to corrosion in the braking system or the hardening of suspension rubber. A buyer should prioritize a physical inspection of the specific area that caused the March 2025 failure to ensure the repair was comprehensive. Given the low usage, attention must also be paid to brake calipers for seizing, fork seals for leaks, and the overall structural integrity of the frame and artworkarm. The history shows a vehicle that is currently roadworthy but whose age-to-mileage ratio necessitates a check of components that perish over time rather than through distance.
