2009 Ford Kuga 2.0L Diesel · YB09 SZN

The vehicle is currently roadworthy but the maintenance trend shows a clear shift towards increasing mechanical wear and component degradation. While it passed the February 2026 test at 205,509 miles, the result revealed multiple failures related to lighting, glass damage, and tyre condition. The transition from a cleanion in 2022 to a series of suspension and braking defects indicates that the vehicle is entering a phase where components are requiring more frequent reactive maintenance. At 17 years old, the recorded mileage of 205,509 represents a high average of approximately 12,000 miles per year. The data shows consistent and heavy usage, with 16,653 miles covered between February 2025 and February 2026. This sustained high mileage has placed significant stress on the drivetrain and chassis components, which is evidenced by the recurring appearance of engine mounting damage, power steering seepage, and suspension wear noted in recent years. A buyer must prioritize a thorough physical inspection of the entire suspension and braking system. The history flags persistent issues with the front anti-roll bar linkages and inner suspension arms, alongside noted corrosion on the rear coil springs and anti-roll bar. The recurring mention of pitted rear discs and thin pads across 2024 and 2025 suggests the rear braking system is nearing the end of its service life. Furthermore, the steering rack seepage reported in 2023 and the front oil leak from 2024 should be monitored closely to ensure they have not progressed into major.
