2023 BMW I4 EDRIVE35 M Sport Electric · YB73 MUP

This vehicle lacks any recorded MOT history, rendering a formal roadworthiness assessment impossible. Without test dates, mileage readings, or advisory notes, there is no evidence of maintenance trends—whether stable, deteriorating, or improving. The absence of even a single MOT record suggests either a brand-new registration (unlikely given the model’s age) or a deliberate omission of compliance documentation, which is a red flag. Buyers should treat this as a critical omission, as it precludes any verification of structural integrity, emissions compliance, or critical system failures that might have occurred since manufacture. Mileage data is entirely absent, leaving no basis for comparison against the vehicle’s age or expected wear patterns. A 2023 BMW i4 should have undergone at least one MOT by now, given standard UK testing intervals. The lack of any recorded mileage also prevents assessment of whether the vehicle has been driven sparingly or subjected to aggressive use, both of which would influence wear on components like suspension bushes, brake calipers, or drivetrain elements. Without this fundamental data, even a cursory evaluation of service intervals or potential overuse becomes speculative. Given the complete absence of MOT records, a prospective buyer must prioritise an independent inspection of high-risk areas. The suspension system—particularly coil springs, bushes, and struts—should be examined for uneven wear or corrosion, as these are common failure points in high-performance electric vehicles. Brake discs and calipers must be checked for binding, excessive heat discolouration, or uneven wear, which could indicate neglected maintenance. Structural corrosion around wheel arches, sills, and underbody panels is another critical concern, especially given the i4’s exposed battery and cooling systems, which may accelerate rust if the vehicle has been stored unsafely. Emissions compliance cannot be confirmed, so a diagnostic scan for fault codes is essential. Finally, the battery health—while not MOT-tested—should be assessed for capacity retention, as electric vehicles often suffer silent degradation if not serviced regularly.
