Suzuki Models

Suzuki specializes in small cars and rugged off-roaders. In the UK, they are highly regarded for their reliability, lightweight engineering, and value for money. While their interiors are often plastic-heavy and less "premium" than European rivals, their mechanical components are usually robust. However, they are not immune to issues, particularly regarding manual gearboxes and specific off-road related wear.

Suzuki Jimny (Gen 4)

Retro styling made this an instant sell-out in the UK. Better on-road than the Gen 3, but still a specialist tool.

2018 - 2024View Model

Suzuki Swift (Mk3/A2L)

Extremely light and efficient, especially the Boosterjet turbo models. The interior is a bit basic but well-screwed together.

2017 - 2024View Model

Suzuki Ignis (MF)

A quirky, lightweight "ultra-compact SUV". It is highly reliable but has some small-car traits and infotainment niggles.

2016 - 2024View Model

Suzuki Baleno (2016-2019)

A lightweight and spacious hatchback that was short-lived in the UK but highly efficient.

2016 - 2019View Model

Suzuki Vitara (LY)

A lightweight crossover that is surprisingly capable off-road in AllGrip guise. Far more reliable than most European SUVs.

2015 - 2024View Model

Suzuki SX4 S-Cross

A practical family crossover that focuses on value and reliability. It uses proven Suzuki engines and AllGrip 4WD technology.

2013 - 2024View Model

Suzuki Swift Sport (ZC32S)

A lightweight naturally aspirated hot hatch with a huge UK following and very few catastrophic weaknesses. Most ownership issues are gearbox feel, worn front suspension parts and cosmetic ageing rather than engine drama.

2012 - 2017View Model

Suzuki Swift (Mk2/ZC72S)

One of the best-handling superminis of its era. Simple, fun, and generally very reliable.

2010 - 2017View Model

Suzuki Alto / Celerio / Splash

Suzuki's range of city cars known for low running costs. Very simple and generally reliable.

2008 - 2021View Model

Suzuki Grand Vitara (Mk3/JT)

A proper compact 4x4 with low range and far more off-road ability than most crossover rivals. The 2.4 petrol is the easy choice; the Renault-sourced 1.9 DDiS diesel needs a much more cautious inspection for engine and emissions trouble.

2005 - 2015View Model

Suzuki Swift (Mk1/ZC31S)

The car that reinvented Suzuki in the UK. Great handling and characterful engines, but earlier models are now reaching an age where gearbox and ABS issues are common.

2005 - 2010View Model

Suzuki Jimny (Gen 3)

A legendary small 4x4. It has a cult following in the UK but requires specific maintenance to stay safe.
