Buying Tips for 1995–2002 MG MGF

  • Check the ride height; if it looks low, the Hydragas system needs pumping up (specialist tool required).
  • Look for signs of head gasket failure, as the K-Series engine is very sensitive to any coolant loss.
  • Test the power steering; early EPAS systems can sometimes pull to one side if the sensor is faulty.
