Most Common Skoda Superb Mk4 Faults & Repair Costs
Early Software Glitches
As with the Octavia Mk4 launch, some early units may experience laggy infotainment or connectivity bugs.
Laggy screen response, Wireless phone connection drops
12V Battery Drain and Non-Start
A well-documented VW Group PHEV issue: the 12V battery drains while the car is parked or even while the high-voltage battery is charging. Modules continuously draw power from the 12V battery even when parked, and it is only recharged when the high-voltage system is fully energised.
Car won't start after standing overnight, Multiple warning lights on dashboard, 12V battery needs frequent replacement
Reversing Camera Lag and ADAS Failures
The 360-degree camera can take ages to load when reversing, or fail to appear at all. Driver assistance systems (Front Assist, Lane Assist, Travel Assist) can become unavailable simultaneously, sometimes for extended periods, requiring dealer software reflashing.
Reversing camera slow to appear or blank, ADAS systems unavailable warning, Navigation and phone functions freeze
Door Mirror Auto-Dip and Camera Condensation
The door mirror auto-dip function occasionally fails to return to the normal position after reversing. On cold mornings, condensation inside the front camera housing can disable assistance features for around 10 minutes until it clears.

DSG Low-speed Jerkiness
The DSG gearbox can exhibit a slight jolt or lurch when pulling away from a standstill, particularly in D mode. Some owners also report the gearbox feeling laggy when accelerating from junctions.
