1984 Honda XLV 750 R 0.7L Petrol · A750 XLV

The 1984 Honda XLV 750 R shows a stable roadworthiness trend. In the most recent test on 17 July 2023 at 7,919 miles the DVSA record lists a pass with no defects recorded, matching the clean result from 23 June 2021 at 7,802 miles. The two available entries indicate the machine has been presented for test in sound mechanical order with no advisories or failures logged. The mileage pattern reflects extremely light use for a 42-year-old vehicle. Between June 2021 and July 2023 the recorded distance rose by only 117 miles, an annual average across the bike's life of roughly 189 miles. A two-year gap separates the only two tests on file, so the history is sparse, but the low and slowly accumulating mileage suggests long periods of standing rather than active wear on consumables or drivetrain parts. A buyer should still inspect the machine in person for issues that a clean MOT does not capture. Standing vehicles of this age commonly develop perished suspension bushes, seized calipers, and internal corrosion in brake lines or the exhaust system despite passing emissions and function checks. The absence of recorded advisories means no structural rust or worn tyres were flagged, but age-related degradation of rubber and metal components remains probable. Given the stable record and minimal mileage, previous keepers appear to have stored the bike rather than neglected basic upkeep. Prospective owners should verify the condition of tyres, wheel bearings, and the frame's structural integrity before relying on it for road use.
