2008 Honda XL125V 0.1L Petrol · AD57 AEM

The vehicle is currently roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent MOT on 30 May 2025 at 32,067 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded. This clean bill of health follows a consistent pattern of passing tests without any listed advisories or mechanical failures over the last three years. The mileage is exceptionally low for an 18 year old motorcycle, averaging roughly 1,782 miles per year. Between May 2023 and May 2025, the odometer moved from 31,343 to 32,067 miles. This indicates the bike has covered only 724 miles in two years. Such low usage suggests the vehicle has spent significant periods standing, which often introduces different risks than high-mileage wear. A buyer should focus on components that degrade during inactivity rather than through use. Inspect the fuel system for gumming and check the condition of the tyres for flat spots or perishing, as the low mileage accumulation suggests they may be aged despite having remaining tread. Check for corrosion on the frame and exhaust, and verify that the brake calipers are not seizing due to lack of regular movement. The record shows two instances where the bike failed and passed on the same day in May 2023 and May 2025. Since no specific defects were listed for these failures, they likely relate to minor administrative errors or quick-fix items. The absence of recurring mechanical faults suggests a well-preserved machine, provided the long periods of dormancy have not affected the seals or battery health.
