1989 Cadillac Eldorado 4.5L Petrol · F567 NBR

The 1989 CADILLAC ELDORADO currently stands in a good state of roadworthiness, with the most recent MOT test in the September 2023 test at 52,000 miles passing the inspection. The maintenance trend appears stable, as the vehicle has maintained consistent passing performance from 2020 through 2023, with no significant deterioration in performance or safety indicators. The mileage pattern is characterized by relatively low accumulation for a 37-year-old vehicle, suggesting potential lighter use or extended periods of inactivity, though the vehicle has accumulated approximately 139,305 miles over this period. This distance is consistent with a typical range for a used car of this age and model, indicating that the drivetrain and suspension components have not suffered catastrophic wear. A buyer should inspect the vehicle for structural integrity and mechanical wear patterns, specifically focusing on the suspension components and brake systems. The MOT record indicates that the nearside front lower suspension arm ball joint has slight play, which is a minor consumable wear item that does not constitute a safety hazard. However, the history also reveals that the offside rear brake hose has slightly deteriorated, and the nearside rear brake pipe has been corroded, covering it in grease or material. These recurring faults suggest that basic upkeep was skipped, and the vehicle requires inspection for corrosion and potential binding calipers or brake discs.
