2019 Bentley Continental GT V8 Auto 4.0L Petrol · GO07 EBS

The Bentley Continental GT V8 in question has maintained a consistent and favourable MOT history, with every test since 2022 passing without any recorded defects. The most recent inspection, conducted on 13 November 2025 at 14,184 miles, confirms the vehicle remains roadworthy under current DVSA standards. There is no evidence of recurring advisories or major mechanical issues, though the absence of defects does not preclude hidden wear—particularly in high-value components like suspension bushes, coil springs, or electrical systems that may not be comprehensively tested under standard MOT procedures. The recorded mileage of 14,184 miles over approximately seven years suggests exceptionally light usage, averaging just over 2,000 miles annually. This pattern is unusual for a vehicle of this class, as even low-mileage Bentleys typically accumulate closer to 3,000–4,000 miles per year under normal ownership. The consistent spacing between MOT tests—each roughly 12–13 months apart—indicates regular compliance with legal requirements, though it does not confirm proactive maintenance beyond statutory obligations. The lack of mileage spikes or prolonged gaps implies the vehicle has likely been stored or used sporadically, which could accelerate degradation in fluids, tyre condition, or minor corrosion if not addressed. Given the clean MOT record, a buyer should prioritise an independent inspection of suspension components, particularly the rear coil springs and bushes, which may exhibit premature wear due to the vehicle’s low-mileage yet high-stress usage. The brakes, while not flagged in tests, warrant scrutiny for uneven pad wear or binding calipers, especially if the vehicle has been stored with the wheels off the ground. Electrical systems—such as the infotainment, climate control, and charging circuits—should also be tested, as luxury vehicles often develop intermittent faults over time. Finally, a thorough examination of the underbody for corrosion, particularly around the sills and wheel arches, is essential, as prolonged inactivity can accelerate rust formation even in low-mileage cars. The absence of advisories does not guarantee these areas are sound.
