1991 Volvo 700 Series 2.0L Petrol · H572 JAD

The vehicle presents a stable and consistent maintenance profile based on the available MOT history. The most recent recorded test on 22 February 2023 at 189,509 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories noted. This follows a continuous sequence of successful tests dating back to 2019, indicating that the vehicle has maintained a consistent standard of roadworthiness throughout the recorded period. The mileage accumulation is notably low for a 35-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 5,415 miles per year. The data shows very steady, incremental usage rather than long periods of dormancy or heavy, high-speed motorway transit. Between March 2019 and February 2023, the odometer increased by only 3,418 miles. This low annual mileage suggests the vehicle has seen light use, which typically results in less wear on the drivetrain and engine components compared to high-mileage counterparts. While the MOT history is clean, the age of the vehicle necessitates a thorough physical inspection of age-related deterioration. A buyer should specifically examine the chassis and subframes for structural corrosion, as MOT testers often overlook minor surface rust that can develop on older steel bodies. Given the low annual mileage, the rubber components such as suspension bushes, drive shafts, and engine mounts may be prone to perishing or cracking due to time rather than mechanical wear. The lack of advisories regarding braking systems or tyres in the recent records is encouraging. However, a manual check of the brake discs for pitting and the calipers for binding is advisable to ensure the vehicle has not sat for extended periods without use. Inspecting the integrity of the fuel lines and various rubber hoses is also essential to mitigate risks associated with the vehicle's age and the specific usage pattern identified in the records.
